After delivering successful movie PSV Garuda Vega, Dr Rajasekhar came up with an investigative thriller drama Kalki, which is helmed by Prasanth Varma of Awe fame. Finally, the movie has hit the theatres today on 28th June. Let’s see the storyline.
The movie starts in a small village – Kolhapur in Telangana, which is dominated by two strong village heads. After a gang war, a dreaded murder happened. Kalki (Dr Rajasekhar) starts the investigation of the case. A twist arises in the story and the murder mystery takes a new route. How does Rajasekhar solve the mystery of murder, form the rest of the story?
·Powerful interval scene
The casting is perfect. Dr Rajasekhar steals the show. He deserves a lot of applause for his wonderful performance. His energy level is superb and suited to his character. The way he deals the case and goes about doing the action part is superb. Rahul Ramakrishna as a journalist is good. Though Poojita Ponnada is seen in only a few scenes, she performs well. Adah Sharma is ok and Nanditha Swetha got a meaty role. Rest of the cast performed accordingly.
From a technical point of view, Kalki is one of the best films. The production values are rich. The cinematography is top notch. The background score is good that elevates the film to another level altogether. The storyline is impressive and interesting. The screenplay is engaging. This credit goes of Prasanth Varma as he narrates the story in a very entertaining manner. The dialogues are good and are apt to the situations.
To sum it all, Kalki has its pluses in the form of technical prowess and performances. It is several notches higher than a regular Telugu movie. The Climax portion and interval block are highlighted.
