Espicy Rating:

First Rank Raju is the official remake of the 2015 super hit Kannada message-oriented youthful entertainer. Let’s see the story of the movie

Story: Raju (Chethan Maddineni) is a bookish geek who often excels in studies.  He wants to become a software engineer but with his bookish knowledge, he could barely do even little things in life. He fails to secure a plum job at a top MNC. Rest is all about how he discovers himself.

Plus Points:

·Story

·Cinematography

·Focus on education system

Minus points:

·Narration

Performance: Chethan Maddineni does a decent job in the role of Raju.  Naresh and Rajashree Nair could not have been more perfect in their respective roles playing the parents who sacrifice everything for their son to excel ‘only’ in studies. Kashish Vohra as Raju’s Classmate is decent. Vennela Kishore’s comedy in the second half works big time. Rest of the cast played their parts well.

Technical:  Camera work by Shekar Chandru is decent and the songs are good. Naresh Kumar handled the story and scenes very well. The editing is good. The Production Values are appropriate. The dialogues are meaningful. Coming on the work of the director of First Rank Raju, he narrates the movie in an interesting manner.

Analysis: First Rank Raju is a satire on present day’ education system which is less of common sense and more of bookish knowledge.
