On Thursday, Telangana High Court announced that it will take a final call to end RTC strike on 11th November. Recently The Telangana Chief minister KCR warned the striking TSRTC staff that if they fail to resume duty by the deadline of 5th November, state government will not take them back. TSRTC Employees have been on strike for the past few weeks and they have been demanding government to fulfill their 26 demands. Out of approx. 50,000 Telangana State Road Transport Corporation employees, only around 400 have come back to their services.
The Telangana High Court also directed the government to hold talks with the RTC workers and Joint Action Committee unions, and urge them to end the 34-day long impasse. The court said that the state government and RTC unions have failed to end the strike. Meanwhile RTC JAC convener, E Ashwathama Reddy said that they are ready to hold talks with KCR.
