Coronavirus: German minister commits suicide

Thomas Schaefer-  The Finance Minister of Germany' Hesse state, has ended his life. He committed suicide due to extreme worry ness on the coronavirus outbreak. It is said that Thomas Schaefer was deeply worried about coping over the novel Covid-19 pandemic as the economic fallout has upset him. The State’ governor said  that Schaefer was in despair over the fallout from coronavirus crisis.

Thomas Schaefer was 54. The body of Schaefer, who was member of Chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democratic Union, was found near a railway track at Hochheim, near Frankfurt, on Saturday. The Wiesbaden prosecution’s office said they believe Thomas Schaefer  ended his life by committing suicide. Schaefer leaves behind a wife and two children. Thomas Schaefer was Hesse's finance chief for the 10 years and he worked 24/7 to help the companies and workers deal with the economic impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.
