Andhra Vigilance dept unearths Rs 404 Cr fraud

The Vigilance and Enforcement Department of AP has claimed to have unearthed a Rs 404.86 crore scam in the Employees State Insurance Corporation during the period between 2014 and 2019, when TDP was in power.  ESI scam in Andhra Pradesh broke out in a sensational manner as Vigilance and Enforcement department has claimed that Telugu Desam leader Atcchannaidu has a hand in this scandal. Atchannaidu reacted on this issue and said, “This sensational news was first leaked by Sakshi media and the government. Later many news channels have covered this news.”

Atchannaidu added, “In 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi organized a meeting related to ESI and asked all the states to use technology for ESI services. I asked them to follow the Centre's orders.” He added. “ Being a minister I directed the officials to implement it like how Telangana State is doing.” he also blamed the YSRCP government for deliberately dragging his name.
