Tamil actor and film maker Visu passes away

Tamil director, screenwriter, and actor Visu, who was battling kidney-related ailment, passed away on Sunday. He was 74. Visu was  popular  for his witty dialogues in movies, including 1981 blockbuster and Rajinikanth starrer 'Thillu Mullu,' . He is survived by wife and three daughters.

His family members said that the actor and film maker Visu collapsed after falling down when he came out of the restroom in his house around 4 pm and was rushed to a private hospital where the doctors declared him dead after taking an ECG. The last rites and cremation of Visu will take place today on Monday. Visu who is popular for family centric movies, started his career as an Assistant Director under late K Balachandar. Actor Karthi condoled the death and wrote on Twitter, “Deepest condolences on the demise of legendary #Visu sir. He’ll always be remembered for his classic films / talk shows & the family values.”
