Prakash Raj Skips Court

Actor turned politician Prakash Raj is currently focusing on politics and he is busy campaigning for Lok Sabha Elections in Bengaluru Central Constituency. Prakash Raj, who was summoned by the Bombay High Court regarding a suit filed against related to his movie 'Tadka', did not appear before the court on Friday. Saveena Sachar- Prakash Raj's counsel told the court that the actor was campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the Bengaluru Central constituency.

Prakash Raj was summoned over the issue of Intellectual Property Rights and the exploitation rights between his brother-in-law's company and Zee Studios. Zee Studios claims that Prakash Raj 'purposely did not execute the MoU’ between the company and Sameer Dixit-Jatish Verma to ‘calculatedly defeat’ their rights. Essel Vision Productions Limited, the company which owns Zee Studios, moved High Court on 25th January to implement MoU between the firm and Sameer Dixit and Prakash Raj’s brother-in-law Jatish Verma, partners of the production house Movie Makers.  The court on Monday asked Prakash Raj to be present in the court over the dispute. The next hearing is now scheduled for 15th February 2019.
