India’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already announced the extension of lockdown. And now the extension of lockdown has forced former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy to perform his son Nikhil Gowda' marriage on Friday at a farmhouse near Bidadi in Ramanagara district, his aide said on Wednesday.
Nikhil, 28, got engaged to Revathi, 22, the grandniece of state Congress leader M. Krishnappa, at a top hotel in Bengaluru on 10th February and a grand wedding was scheduled to be held at Janapadaloka between Ramanagaram and Chennapatna, highway to Mysuru on 17th April. But now the family of Nikhil Kumar has decided to perform wedding at the farmhouse. The sources say that Kumaraswamy has urged the party leaders, cadres and supporters to bless the couple- Nikhil and Revathi, from their respective houses and not to flock to the farmhouse due to the lockdown.
