Nayana Suryan, a filmmaker, who is best known for her works in Malayalam film Industry, was found dead at her Thiruvananthapuram residence today on Sunday, 24th February. She was 28. The source says that her friends broke into her house after she failed to respond to the repeated calls and later they informed the police.
She hails from Karunagapally, in Kollam. Later she moved to Thiruvananthapuram for her career needs. Nayana Suryan started her career in the film Industry in 2011 with movie 'Makaramanju' helmed by Lenin Rajendran in which Santhosh Sivan, Nithya Menon, Karthika Nair and Mallika Kapoor played the lead roles. She has also worked as an associate director under Kerala State Chalachitra Academy chairman Kamal in his critically acclaimed movie ‘Nadan’ in 2013. She turned independent director with Crossroad. In 2017, Nayana Suryan directed 'Pakshiyude Manam', part of an anthology film 'Crossroad'. She had also helmed numerous ad films and had also conducted stage shows across India.
