Nandamuri Balakrishna turned producer with his dream project NTR Kathanayakudu, which was arrived at the theatres on 9th January 2019 and ended up as a loss-making venture for its distributors. NTR Kathanayakudu left the buyers in a hefty loss of Rs 50 Cr. The makers promised to offer the second instalment NTR Mahanayakudu if the first part ends up in losses. Since then, there have been numerous rumours about the distribution rights of NTR biopic’s second part’s NTR Mahanayakudu.
Finally, Balakrishna talked to the distributors and assured them that he will share up to one-third of the losses incurred by NTR Kathanayakudu distributors and will also share 40% of the revenues to compensate all the buyers. Balakrishna is essaying the role of his father Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. NTR Mahanayakudu is based on the political life of NTR and it is slated to hit the theatres on 22nd February.
