Varma, the Tamil version of the 2017 Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, will be re-shot with a new director. The producers of Varmaa have confirmed this news by releasing a statement. Varma is now eyeing a June release. The statement read, “We at E4 Entertainment are not at all happy with the final version handed over to us and due to various creative and other differences, we have decided not to release this version. Instead, we will start afresh, and shoot a new Tamil version of Arjun Reddy.”The film’s director was Bala.
According to the makers Dhruv Vikram starrer Varmaa will be re-shot due to various creative and other differences and it will now release in June instead of February this year. Dhruv, the son of Kollywood actor Vikram, will be the part of the new version of Varma. The original film Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead was directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The movie revolves around a medical student who falls in love with his junior and how their relationship evolves.
